Rest in a world of no rest
Today humans are surrounded by forces.These forces are working to rob us of our REST, PEACE, CALMNESS & JOY and beause of the excessive pressure these forces exert many believers do not know what to do.
They are very often caught in the tide of these Powerful forces and find that they are pulled by the current and unable to come out.They do not know what to do. They see their other believer friends travelling in the same path and conclude that this is How life should be.
They do not know that God has designed for them a Life which is far above all Human understanding and Wisdom. But do you know that God has promised a REST FOR HIS REDEEMED ONES.
Hebrews 4:3 reveals "For we which have believed do enter into rest".
WHAT IS THIS REST? This is known as the REST OF FAITH.
HOW WILL THIS LIFE BE? 1) FIRST OF ALL IT IS THE END OF ALL WORRY & STRUGGLE. No more are you going to worry. No more are you going to Struggle. This happens when you come to understand the Mighty work which God has done for His children on the cross.This is a result of a new understanding
2) SECONDLY IT IS A LIFE OF KNOWING: You know who you are. You know that you are a New creation. You know that you have passed from death unto life. You know that you have the very life and nature of the Father in you. You know just like how Jesus is on the right hand of the Father , today you are here in this earth. You know that the Father loves you in the same way He loved his son Jesus. You know that your prayers will be certainly and definitely answered. You know that the devil can do nothing to you and that you are a Master through His Name. You know that the Invisible hand of God is working behind the scenes for you.
3) THIRDLY IT IS A LIFE OF Spiritual clarity, YOU ARE FULL OF THANKSGIVING , JOY AND YOUR HEART IS FILLED WITH PEACE AND REST.Your relatives and friends cant understand you. They look at you and wonder how a person can be so calm, peaceful and resting in the midst of such circumstances
4) FOURTHLY IS A LIFE OF PEACE AND RESTING IN THE MIDST OF ODD CIRCUMSTANCES. Suddenly sickness hits your child and the fever goes up. Your heart is not palpitating or beating fast. You just lay hands and command the sickness to leave and your heart is filled with THANKSGIVING AND JOY knowing that God has worked on behalf of you.
Suddenly circumstances change and there is a lack staring before you.You just go before the Father with a boldness and confidence.You put forth your petition before the father quoting his word.After the prayer your heart is filled with a calmness and Tranquility.
You don't seem to be perplexed. People don't understand you. You act as if you are not interested in the situation. What happened to you? YOU HAVE ENTERED INTO HIS REST
5) IT IS A LIFE WHERE THE ROARING OF THE ADVERSARY SEEMS TO HAVE NO IMPACT ON YOU. WHAT IS THE REASON?YOU KNOW THAT NO WORD OF GOD IS VOID OF POWER AND NO WORD CAN RETURN BACK EMPTY. THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING HAS TAKEN POSSESSION OF YOUR HEARTS AND THOUGHTS IN CHRIST JESUS. THE REASON FOR THIS GREAT CHANGE WAS THAT FORMERLY YOU RESTED ON THE WORDS OF MAN & THE THOUGHTS OF MAN.. And because it was the word and the Thought of man it was subject to change. And since your FOUNDATION was a changing foundation and you were resting on it, you also changed.
But now your Foundation is Christ and His Word. Christ and His word which is unshakeable. What happened? THE WORD OF MAN DOESN'T HAVE ANY EFFECT ON YOU ANYMORE. YOU ARE DOMINATED AND IMPACTED BY THE WORD OF GOD. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? You have allowed the word to exercise its power and give Life Victory Peace and rest to your soul.
You have allowed the words of the Master to reign.
