What does Easter mean?
Jesus Christ had died.
Matthew 27:50 declares that Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. When he died his spirit went to Hades. Acts 2:31 declares this Truth.He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. Jesus Christ had gone to Hades. Hades was the place where all the dead went to.
In hades the power of death tried to Hold Jesus.Acts 2:24 reveals this Truth. "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it".
Death tried but could not. It failed. The law was that the flesh of Jesus should not see corruption. We find this Truth in Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Therefore when the time came, God the Father had to do something. God the Father sent His spirit to raise Jesus from the dead. Get this into your spirit. Jesus died of his own accord. No one took his life. But he had to be resurrected from the dead by the Father. Romans 8:11 clearly reveals this "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you".
How did the Spirit raise Jesus up?
Ephes. 1:19-20 declares how the spirit did this.
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
The spirit used Mighty power to raise Jesus from the dead. After raising up Jesus what did the Spirit do?. He came inside us and works inside us. Paul declares in Ephes. 1:18,19 that our eyes have to be enlightened to this Amazing Truth. Observe the verse "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.
Yes my dear child of God. This Mighty Resurrection Power is dwelling inside us. Why?
So that we may be ordinary creations having 20 reasons as to why we should be sick, weak, confused and ordinary?
Or so that we may be people who always have the word, This is impossible. This is too big?
Understand this spirit dwells in you to make you a Supernatural Power Filled individual with the ability to walk in the Supernatural.
