Word for the Youth 2008
What are you expecting from God this year 2008.
First of all we need to understand that we can expect from God. God wants you to have what you expect.
Expectation can otherwise be termed as desires of your heart.
All of us have many desires in our heart, may be you never even spoke about it to anyone.
People don’t know what lies ahead of them. But when we put our trust in god and rely on him completely. He will fill us with his Goodness this year.
Psalm 65:11
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
Today many of them have desires. Some of them pray to god to have those desires fulfilled. Some of them don’t even pray but just have a desire, Some of them feel it is incorrect to ask from God, because they think that God does not provide them, according to them they can only receive Peace. Forgiveness, Love etc…. These are the people who will say that they receive Peace, Forgiveness, Love etc…. from God but when it come to certain real time things. They don’t believe receiving from God.
1. Know Who Our God is ?
First understand that our God is an Almighty God and that he is omnipotent. He is that creator, Alpha and Omega, First and the Last, Beginning and the End, Light of this World etc….
God is a person just like how you and me are. Nothing is impossible with God the scripture says. Have a clear understanding of these realities in your spirit. If not ask God today to open your Eyes.
2. Know how to treat him.
Treat God as a person who listens and responds.
When you pray to god, pray with faith in your hearts and understand that praying is communication with God.
Pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Ask God specifically. Let’s say you are looking out for a job. Before you are on the look out there are desires in your heart for example. This is how big the company should be. This should be my post and this should my job profile. This should be my salary. These are the benefits that I get as a result of taking up this job etc….. Put those desires of your heart and ask god in faith and you shall have them.
Instead of doing this do not just make a prayer like this “God please give me a good job.” What do you mean a good job? There are millions of good jobs but which one of those is good according to you is what god is looking for and he wants to grant the desires of our heart. This applies to anything that you need from God. Ask specifically and receive specifically.
3. Understand his will for you.
Gods Will for you today can be understood from Deutronomy 4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
God wants you to be well and your children or family to be well. If you think that God doesn’t want you to be well that’s a thought brought to you by the Devil.
4. Ask God and Receive From God
So Expect Miracles from God and receive Miracles from God in the Year 2008.
